1. Can I apply via both school and individual channels?

Yes. However, contestants may only apply for the same category once whether they apply online or via their school. 



2. When will I hear back from the organiser after registration? 

Once we receive payment from you or your school, we will send the confirmation and contest details to your registered email address 3 weeks prior to the assigned contest day. All correspondence will be through your registered email. 



3. How many categories can I sign up for? 

Maximum 3 categories for each contestant.




4. Can I choose my contest day? 

No. Due to popular demand, the contest day will be assigned by the organiser. Contestants will be notified 3 weeks before. 



5. How many champions and runners-up are there? 

There will be one champion, first runner-up and second runner-up in each category on each contest day. 



6. Can I make any changes to the set pieces? 

No. Any changes to the set piece may cause contestants penalty marks or disqualification. 



7. Do I need to submit my own choice piece or original work in advance? 

No. For contestants who will be using their own choice piece or original work for their performances, please submit a hardcopy of the chosen piece during registration on your assigned contest day. Own choice pieces must not be used for more than one category.



8. Can I use any props during my performance?

Yes. Contestants can use handheld size visual aids, but they need to arrange for it by themselves. However, no power-point presentation is allowed.



9. Will I get any feedback about my performance?

Yes, you will receive a mark and comment sheet after the contest. 



10. What is the arrangement in case of postponement?

In case of unfavorable circumstances, the contest will be postponed to May 2021. Exact date and venue will be communicated through your registered email address and announced on the event website.

11. Can I refund if I cannot attend the contest on the postponed date?

A. Entry fees will not be refunded for reasons such as the Hong Kong SAR government’s announcement of suspension of classes, changes to the rules of the contest. illness etc, nor can they be transferred to cover other entrants or for entry to another competition. However, if the contestant is unable to participate in the contest due to the event postponement, you may send us the refund request in written format with a proof of absence.
