Formula ONE Formula 1 is a motor car racing competition that takes place around the world. This year, there are 16 races and the last one was in Abu Dhabi on 13th December. Lewis Hamilton from Mercedes AMG Petronas will be the world champion this year. He has won the championship seven times. I have been a big fan of Formula 1 since I was six years old. I like this sport because it is exciting and unpredictable. The drivers have to be physically fit because of the airforce and the heat inside the car. When they finish each race, they may lose 2 to 3 kilograms. Each team has its own mechanics to build the team’s racing car. Do you know drivers use different types of tyres in different weather conditions? There are five types of tyre: soft, medium, hard, intermediate and wet. On sunny days, soft, medium and hard tyres are used. Intermediate and wet tyres are used on rainy days. Hard tyres can last the longest, whereas soft tyres last the shortest. You will also see a lot of flags being waved around the track. The yellow flag means there is a collision on the track. The red flag means there is a serious accident on the track or the weather is bad and the race is suspended. The green flag means the race resumes and drivers can go back to racing speed. Lastly, the most important flag is the chequered flag, it means the race has finished. I wish I can travel and watch a live Formula 1 race soon after the pandemic is over!

In March, my grandpa bought me two pet birds as a birthday present. They are Blue, a Masked Lovebird and Dawn, a Peach-faced Lovebird. Then last month a tragedy happened - Flying at home, Blue banged into a closing door and died. I hope Mum will soon buy another bird to accompany Dawn.

At the 12th of September, my family went to Tai O, Tiger Mountain, for a birthday treat. When we went up the mountain, it was raining. But, I saw a double rainbow. It was so pretty! Later, we saw pink dolphins which are really rare! I loved this birthday trip!
